Verification links: share your extracted data with proof

When you extract data from a chart, the next question is always the same: can I trust these numbers? Today we ship verification links. Every conversion now has a public page that shows the extraction and the proof together, and you can share it with one click.

What the page shows

• The source image with each extracted value plotted back onto it as a dot. You see at once whether the data matches the chart.
• The axis calibration points, marked with crosshairs.
• An edit summary. The page states whether the table is the untouched automatic extraction, or whether a person verified it and what they changed: how many cells, points added or removed, and calibration adjustments.
• The final data table.
• A short guide for citing the extraction in a methods section.

How to share

Open a conversion and press Copy verification link in the export bar. Send the link to a co-author, a reviewer, or your team. They see the full verification page in their browser. They do not need an account.

Who can see it

Only people who have the link. Verification pages are not listed anywhere and search engines do not index them. Each link uses the conversion's unique identifier, which cannot be guessed. Locked conversions have no verification page.

Why we built this

Numbers extracted from a published figure end up in meta-analyses, reports, and papers. The people who check that work need more than a bare table: they need to see the values on the original chart. A verification link gives them that in one view, with an honest record of what the automatic extraction produced and what a person changed. Try it on your next conversion on the converter page.
